Report from Baltic Open Men 2023

Day 1
Baltic open, mens softboll tournament in Alby finished the first day.
Todays games saw all ten games played in good spirits with the boys from London meteors putting together some great hitting displays. Leading the Swedish teams is always faithful VSC but close behind are boys from Alby and DSC.
Sweden Mens had some great battles but to no avail today, like the GB Eagles are enjoying the experience they will battle it out tomorrow.
Loads of home runs, loads of strikeouts and loads of runs!
Semi Finals are set for Sunday at 12. Come on down to Alby, have a burger, catch a foul ball, party in Swedish, Spanish or even English! See you there!

Day 2
So Sunday saw the sunshine bless the diamonds again, with music pumping and kids screaming for their favorite players, mostly their dads.
Sunday also saw the Sweden team win against the Eagles team from Great Britain, but then the semifinals started and the heat really turned up.
Meteors, who are undefeated through the round play took on Alby and winning the semifinal 1 -0 in the last inning. On the other diamond we saw the new Swedish team, RD Softball Club, take on Venezuela Softball Club. So the Spanish was flying but so was the also the kiwi pitcher Dylan Tonkin who hit two home runs and kept the VSC to 3 runs thus helping RDSC win 4-3.
So final is set London Meteors vs RD Softball Club, where Meteors prove to be the strongest team once again, winning Baltic Open 2023 by 6-3.
A great weekend of ball by all! Hope to see all teams again next year!
